ORDER OF THE DAY

ARRIVAL OF GUESTS & Introduction

3PM - 4PM

The traditional ceremony will commence from 3:00 PM with the arrival of guests, who will be warmly welcomed with refreshments and traditional music.

The ceremony will officially begin with a welcome and introduction. A family elder or spokesperson will address the guests, introducing both families and highlighting the significance of the occasion.

blessings & Prayers

4PM - 4.30PM

Prayers and blessings will be offered, ensuring a spiritually grounded start to the union.

Groom’s Family entrance & Dowry presentation

4.30PM - 5PM

The Groom’s family will be welcomed in after they have announced their arrival. They will present the dowry and gifts and officially introduce their son to everyone present. The Bride is then invited in to accept the gifts and give her consent to the marriage.

BRIDE’S ENTRANCE

5PM - 6PM

The bride will be presented to the groom’s family alongside her bridesmaids. The groom’s family will then present the dowry and traditional gifts, such as cloth, beads, jewellery, and money, to the bride and her family. Each gift will be acknowledged and accepted with gratitude, symbolising respect and goodwill between the families.

reception & Celebration

6PM - Late

Guests will be served a meal and refreshments. Time to celebrate!
